Eleanor discovered her passion for Athletic Therapy while working as a Student Trainer with the women’s rugby team at the University of Ottawa. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of sports at the professional, varsity, and recreational level. Eleanor began working as an Assistant Athletic Therapist with the Ottawa Redblacks during the 2021 season and will continue with them this season. In addition to football, she has experience treating soccer, volleyball, and hockey athletes and has worked with the Ontario Basketball Association, Para-Badminton Canada, Rugby Canada, and Wheelchair Rugby Canada.
While completing her education in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College, Eleanor’s dedication to her studies was recognized by being named the valedictorian of her graduating class and through multiple awards. Her commitment to the Athletic Therapy community was highlighted by being the recipient of the CATA Student Leadership Award in 2021. Eleanor continues to enjoy giving back to her community by working with high school women’s health classes and providing First Aid courses.
Eleanor loves learning and continuing to grow as an Athletic Therapist to provide the best possible care for her patients. At Continuum Fitness, she uses her knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics, in addition to her training in Fascial Stretch Therapy, Soft Tissue Release, and IASTM and Cupping, to provide customized treatments. Eleanor enjoys working as a team with her patients to get them back to doing the activities that they love.
